Cut to Improve

I’ve been reworking my 2014 novella Arnos Hell: Horror at NHS Direct about a call centre haunted on Halloween. It was written for fun but I felt it was good enough to self-publish so that colleagues could read it for a laugh. This week I revised it using Grammarly and Pro-Writer and cut 607 words out of 34,940, mostly adverbs. Hopefully, it is improved thereby. Parts of it were embarrassing to read now but I think that’s the case with anything you look at years later.

I have just unpublished the old one on Amazon and will distribute the new version through several channels – including Amazon – in time for Halloween.
