Brigstowe Dragons 3 out now.

Alban Lake Publishing has recently released Brigstowe Besieged, the third book in The Brigstowe Dragons saga. Like the other two, it’s not too long, just a novella.

Get it here https://www.infiniterealmsbookstore.com/product-page/brigstowe-dragons-by-eamonn-murphy

At the moment it’s only available at Alban Lake’s own Infinite Realms Bookstore for $8. On the other hand, you could buy all three books for $20 in a beautiful print edition.

Why write when there are plenty of stories already?

Why write when there are plenty of stories already?

Frankly, I don’t know.

Why should people read my five thousand words of fluff when there are a million stories out there already, many of them free? You can get most of the classics for peanuts or nothing as ebooks. A person with literary tastes is indubitably better served by Dickens, Flaubert, Balzac and Edgar Allan Poe than by me. Someone with a few pounds (or dollars) who likes SF and Fantasy could spend the rest of life reading Heinlein, Asimov, Clarke, Silverberg, Dick, Dan Simmons, Tolkien, C. S. Lewis, Stephen Donaldson and all the other greats.

So why waste time reading a second-rate writer in the small press?

Hell, I don’t know. But if you want to indulge, here’s my latest publication, a short story entitled ‘Flour Power’ in Mundanities # 1 from Nomadic Delirium Press. It’s set in a near future U.S.A. in which the President makes policy via twitter. I wrote it months ago, just reread it in the magazine and believe it’s okay. There are good stories too by Mike Morgan (one of my favourite writers), W.C. Roberts, Lisa Timpf and Benjamin Whitney Norris.

Smashwords

(Honesty Corner: this is my Smashwords affiliate link and I will grow fat and rich if you buy it here.)

It should also be available from Kobo and other ebook retailers that Smashwords supply, nearly all of them, I think, except the big one below.

Naturally, pragmatically and inevitably it is available at the big one too.  In fact, I strongly urge you to buy it there because Jeff needs the money.

Wild Child

As a change from the usual ray guns, robots and rockets I wrote some ‘Womag’ (soppy girly) stories last year. I couldn’t sell them to the popular publications – they get about 400 submissions a week – but had ‘Wild Child’ accepted for fiction on the web. It’s free!
